My apologies for not having gotten this note off sooner. I did call to say how pleased I was with your service, but the written word is still the gold standard for expressing appreciation.
The final product is lovely and everyone who has seen it compliments me on the job. However, it was your wonderful service and attention to detail during construction that causes me to put words on paper. Nate took such incredible care to get Phred’s dog doorstep just right. He was unflapped by my several requests to change the height and remained cheerful throughout what had to have been a very tedious task to accommodate an old, but very dear yellow dog.
Though your whole crew was polite, knowledgeable, energetic and competent, Tom and Nate were on the job a longer time and it is their effort that I particular commend. Tom asked clarifying questions, told me what he was going to do before he did it, solicited any input I might have had, and put incredible energy into completing the job in the shortest time possible.
I do appreciate the job you did. If you need a reference in this area for any reason, please tell people to call me. I would be delighted to share my comments with anyone thinking of having you do fencing.

I wanted to include a letter of thanks for the outstanding service I encountered with Gorham Fence.
To say that typically when I attempt to get something fixed, installed or renovated in some way it never works out would be an understatement. I have many long stories about horrible customer service and substandard work. This has somehow become all too commonplace with companies today.
Gorham Fence Co., Inc., proved to be the one exception in a sea of if mishaps. Not only was your estimate completed promptly, but I was scheduled-in almost immediately. The guys that came showed up on time and began work immediately on a sweltering hot day. Rather than taking a shortcut when they discovered my rock hard ground was too much for their tools, they went back to the shop to get the proper tools! (You would be amazed how often that doesn’t happen). The guys were polite, competent and put my fence up very quickly.
I am thrilled with the fence and even more thrilled with the service I received.

Dear Friends,
Thank you for your generous donation of time and materials to construct a fence around our demolition site at the Standish Congregational Church. Having a secure fence in place helps ease our concerns about the safety of the site.
Although we grieve the loss of our church building, we are grateful for what we have: an unharmed Parish Hall, space in a local theater for Sunday worship and church school, a congregation of hard workers, and the support of friends such as you!
